Young Journalists offers a free, five-week program consisting of a total of nine 40-minute online classes to students in middle school and incoming freshman. Students are not required to attend every session beyond Weeks 1 and 5, and each week we will focus on a different aspect of journalism (news and sports writing, photography and graphic design, and opinions writing). We take an introductory approach, providing students with a background in journalism and media that will help them prepare for taking part in high school newspaper, yearbook or literary magazine staffs or simply learn more about writing articles, taking pictures and doing basic graphic design.

To sign up for our non-binding, cost-free program, simply fill out a form linked on our Get Started page and we will send you information about how to join the class. All classes will be held through Zoom and will be taught by members of Our Team. No prior experience is needed. All students will be assigned a small project based on their interests that will be published to this website upon completion of the course!
